Nema Labs Joins Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner Program

FASThread brings faster development time of parallel applications to Visual Studio users

Gothenburg, Sweden — November 10 2009 — Nema Labs today announced that they have joined the Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program, to closer align FASThread with Microsoft Visual Studio.  By integrating FASThread with Visual Studio, customers will more easily be able to parallelize and speed up their applications written in C and C++. With over 200 partners, the VSIP program provides technical and marketing support to partners who have integrated their products with Visual Studio.

“By working with Microsoft, we feel confident that FASThread will provide users of Visual Studio with easy access to parallel programming.”

“We are pleased to have Nema Labs join the Microsoft VSIP program and add more depth to the support of parallel development with Visual Studio 2010,” said Tom Honeybone, senior director of Marketing and Business Development at Microsoft Corp. “Integrating FASThread with Visual Studio will help ensure customers are getting the most of their parallel development.”

Nema Labs has developed a tools technology called FASThread that short-cuts much of the time needed to craft correct parallel code out of sequential C/C++ to realize the performance potential of multi-core systems. Nema Labs was founded in 2007 and is a spin-out from Chalmers University of Technology.
